I just going to write about a few things I am currently loving. Hopefully, after I have exposed you diehard followers to these things (if you didn't already know) you will love them too!
1. The "Hannibal" movies -- I am not even going to lie to you, I had never seen these. I am not big into scary flicks but someone that currently live with said they aren't scary, they are more in the thriller genre. After I watched Silence of the Lambs, I was hooked. Anthony Hopkins is SO CREEPY but SO GREAT in these movies. Also, that first film where Jodi Foster is chasing the serial killer "Buffalo Bill" has yielded some fabulous quotes repeated around our apartment.
2. Desiderata by Max Ehrmann - I received a framed copy of this prose poem before we moved to Florida, at pretty much the peak of my nervous/scared/questioning-every-choice-I-made feelings and it was just what I needed to push through those insecurities and jump head first into this great new adventure. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
3. Instagram and TiltShiftGen - iPhone apps that are fabulous little gadgets for manipulating pictures and making simple photos look great. Many of the sweet shots featured on this blog (mostly of Griggs on the course) were taken with my phone and uploaded through these apps. They are really easy to use and I love them!
4. Yuengling Lager - I am a huge craft beer fan (thanks, Dad) but for anyone who has ever bought a 6-pack of their favorite kind of hoppy goodness knows that little habit can get a little expensive, which is why I have been on a bit of a Yuengling kick. This Pennsylvania brewery is by no means a craft brewery but the beer has much more taste than the typical Miller or Coors beers. And it comes in a 12-pack that is usually on sale at the Publix across the street from our apartment. You can't beat that.
5. Kanye's music - How can you not get pumped up listening to this song? Or any other song he raps in? This particular selection is from his CD "My Beautiful Dark and Twisted Fantasy". Quite a mouthful and a bit strange, but nobody questions genius. Speaking of Kanye, the Grammy nominations were just released and Kanye leads all artists with 7 noms. Good luck in February sir. Please don't make an ass of yourself, just stick to music.
I think that should about do it for this post. Somewhat lazy in content, I apologize. When I am feeling a little bit more inspired, I will give you something better to really get you thinking. Not being around golf all day isn't really helping me in terms of getting into the golfing mentality and it sucks. Believe me, blog content isn't the only thing suffering because certain employment circumstances, I am sure my game is shit right now too. Please don't ask me to play for money that I don't have...I hate losing.
I will leave you with this hilarious e-card that somewhat encompasses the fashion direction of our blog.
Thanks for reading!
