Peter Millar redemption with Ladies S/S 12 line.

Recently I've been busy at work, but I've been fortunate to work with our retailer for our woman's golf apparel. I was opening the shop up today at 4:40am, and it was a bit slow this morning on the course, so I got to talking with a colleague who agrees with my view on fashion, especially that when it comes to mens and womans wear. I can't tell you how excited that made me.

Has anyone caught on to what B and I are looking for in clothes?

Something that Peter Millar's womenswear clothing is working towards. (I know, I know we found the President's cup to be a little simple, BUT it was classic. Personally I was looking for a little more of a tailored look in the pants, and a bit more slim through the side seams of the polos...) I'm not here to reiterate what we've already discussed about the mens line, but to build a positive image they've recreate for their womens. There isn't much of a history when it comes to Millar's womans wear, but there is a new lady who is completely in charge of rebuilding a portion of the brand! WHICH IS GREAT NEWS! There was a ladies line that was struggling for a bit, but reintroduced with Lindsay Browder.

I dont think there are enough letters on my keyboard to convey how excited I was when I saw the lookbook. Because the lookbook  I saw prior Millar's was very graphically inspired by the "orbit" and what have you... And if you havent caught on, graphics are great if done right. Am I right?

I'm right.

There is a noticeably distinct age portrayed through the designs. I have no problem with that. The thing I LOVE the most about the S/S12 line are the sweaters and their incorporation into golf apparel. I feel as though I would still be comfortable pairing a Peter Millar knit polo with one of their sweaters!! Their bottoms selections arent exactly what I, as a golfer am looking for, especially for my age group (which won't disclosed... ). For me, I'm looking for more of a flattering silhouette instead of boxy, and fit with function. Would it kill someone to create J.crew like Minnie pants with pockets?

Below are some of the stylings from the lookbook! Enjoy!

an actual well fitted polo dress.

fun color matching! love the white pants...
not so much the rise and length, but it can always be tailored
(thats probably one of my favorite words.)

everyone loves a sailor-esque boatneck stripe top...
bermudas, personally not a fan because I'm tall, but love the belt.
great styling.

belted cable sweater. classy.
paired with a print on the bottom. a well chosen graphic.

(im sorry this one is cropped and blurry) BUT MY FAVORITE LOOK.
The white and cream pieces with orange accents. fresh.
It's golf appropriate, and easy to wear out. function.
p.s. rickie fowler this is a classic take for an orange sunday...
if you'd like to switch it up and look fly.

simple, with excitement. refreshing for any age.

Thank you Peter Millar, you're fabulous in my book.
and a special thank you to Lindsay Browder.
You're headed in the right direction!
(other companies, step up your game...)
We're all waiting.
We're being proactive.

G&B.
get it.
